5 Celebrity Beauty Brands That Are Worth The Hype
There have never been more celebrity brands out there than there are today. And this is especially true for beauty celebrity brands. Long gone are the days of simple and inexpensive celebrity perfumes. Celebrities are now integrated into the whole beauty industry, from skincare to makeup. And it’s not too difficult to understand why. Remember Kylie Jenner, and her brand Kylie Cosmetics that made her the youngest self-made billionaire? Who wouldn’t want a piece of that cake?
And while some of the celebrity beauty brands out there do seem like a big scam, some of these brands are truly worth investing your money in. The celebrities that stand behind them started these brands due to their organic passion for skincare and/or makeup, and there are doing the best they can to create interesting, and high-quality products for their fans and beauty lovers. So, here are five celebrity beauty brands that are, in my opinion, absolutely worth the hype.
Flower Beauty is an inexpensive, but amazing, makeup brand that was started by Drew Barrymore in 2012. They sell award-winning beauty products at an affordable price, and they are 100% cruelty-free. These products aren’t only affordable, but also widely accessible. You can buy them at your local drugstore, or on the Flower Beauty website. Besides the great prices and prestige formulas, Flower Beauty also offers adorable and simple packaging. The one product that I would absolutely recommend is their foundation pictured below.
Selena Gomez launched Rare Beauty in 2020, and many people were skeptical from the start. While the Wizards of Waverly Place didn’t talk much about her love for makeup previously, her high-quality makeup products talked for themselves since the moment they were released. But that’s not where it stops with this amazing brand. Rare Beauty donates 1 percent of sales to the Rare Impact Fund, which wants to provide access to mental health treatments in school settings. Their most popular, and TikTok trending product is the Soft Pinch Liquid Blush. It comes in more than ten different shades, and it can be bought at Sephora for $20.
The beauty industry was permanently changed, once Rihanna launched Fenty Beauty in 2017. Rihanna was the first celebrity beauty brand who hit the ground running with its all-inclusive foundation and concealer shade range. Her foundation was available in 40 shades, which was pretty much unheard of at that time. Ever since then, Fenty Beauty has been one of the most successful celebrity makeup brands to ever exist. The products are available at Sephora, and while they are a bit more pricey, they are well worth it. Some of her products became cult favorites over the years, like her Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer, or the Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation.
Jessica Alba launched her beauty brand, Honest Beauty, in 2015, as an extension of her lifestyle brand The Honest Company. Her brand delivers clean products at affordable prices. Alba founded the business after the birth of her first child, motivated by her own experience with childhood illnesses and the need for a clean alternative to the widely used baby products that contain synthetic scents and petrochemicals. Her makeup products are sold at Target, and they only use recycled and sustainable packaging. Their most popular product is the nontoxic 2-in-1 Extreme Length Mascara + Lash Primer.
Even though Hailey Bieber introduced her skincare brand, Rhode Skin, only a couple of months ago, it has been an immediate hit and sold out in only a few hours. If there is one celebrity that is known for her flawless, almost poreless-looking skin, then it’s Hailey Bieber. So when the supermodel announced that she is coming out with her own skincare brand, the masses went absolutely wild. She currently only carries three products, but all of them feature scientifically proven and effective ingredients. If you ever manage to get your hands on one of these constantly sold-out products, you will be glad to learn that all of them are under $30.
