Kim Kardashian has the craziest lashes! Especially because she claims to never had lash extensions done. You can get a good look at them in those rare candid selfies that she posts on her Instagram stories or the TikTok videos that she does with her oldest daughter North. They are long, full, and almost manga-like. So it’s no wonder that people all over social media are going wild over Kim Kardashian’s lashes.

A lot of the controversy began after Kim had her famous interview with Allure, where she denied that she ever had anything done to her face, besides a little bit of Botox. She explained: “I’ve never had eyelash extensions. I’ve never done anything. I’ve never filled my cheeks. I’ve never filled my lips.” 

But one question remains — how are her lashes so long and full? There were plenty of people commenting on how beautiful they looked when they had the chance to meet Kim in person. I vividly remember how most of the YouTube beauty gurus who had the chance to do Kim’s makeup always said the same thing — “Wow, your lashes are so long!”

The Famous Vogue Video 

The whole thing over Kim’s lashes started a couple of years ago. Back in 2018, when she was doing a Beauty Secrets video for Vogue’s YouTube channel, Kim even took the time to prove that she, in fact, does not have any lash extensions. 

While curling her lashes, the SKKN owner explained: “These are my lashes. Everyone thinks that I have long lash extensions, and I don’t.” She then continues to pull on her lashes and says: “See that? No lash extensions here people.”

Is she using an eyelash serum? 

This is pretty hard to answer as well. I remember vividly that back in 2017 or 2018 Nikkie Tutorials straight up asked Kim if she used any type of lash serum. She denied it. But she wouldn’t be a Kardashian if she didn’t promote a lash serum only a couple of months after that. It was The Queen Pegasus Lash Serum, and it seems like it isn’t available anymore. 

If you’re a die-hard Keeping Up With The Kardashian fan like I am, you might remember one of the early episodes where the sisters admitted that they are using Latisse for their lashes. Latisse is an FDA-approved prescription drug to help lengthen, thicken and even darken your eyelashes. However, I rarely doubt that any serum would work that well for lash growth. Especially if you are starting with short and thin lashes.

What is her secret?

On a more realistic note, you have to understand that Kim is Armenian. Armenians are known for their thick and dark hair, eyebrows, but also eyelashes. If you take a closer look at Kourtney, you will notice that her lashes are pretty long and thick as well. Even their mother, who isn’t Armenian, has pretty long and full lashes. Therefore, it’s no surprise that Kim won the genetic lash lottery. 

But there is another thing that could be the case. There is actually a way to do eyelash transplants. How crazy is that? This surgery involves moving hair from one part of the body, like the back of your head, to your eyelashes. The results can be pretty insane, especially if you consider the fact that the hair on the back of our heads is supposed to grow longer than our usual eyelashes. 

I’m not in any way insinuating that Kim has done this procedure. However, it wouldn’t surprise me too much. Celebrities will go above and beyond just not to admit any of the work that they have done to their faces and/or bodies. Which gives their fans and followers unrealistic expectations about what is achievable and what is not.
