Zendaya’s New Chic Bob Makes Us All Want To Chop Off Our Hair
I have said it once and I will say it again — if there is one celebrity that I am more than willing to take beauty advice from, then it’s Zendaya! This woman knows what she is talking about. She always looks flawless and superhuman, even with no makeup on. So if she decides that something is a trend, I’m going to follow. Hopefully, she’ll never become a cult leader because I know that I’d be the first one to sign up for it. But I’m not the only one to take inspiration from here, because Zendaya’s new chic bob makes us all want to chop off our hair!
The classic bob
Let’s face it, the classic bob will never not be in style. As much of a trendsetter as Zendaya is, she definitely isn’t the one to start this trend. However, you can expect to see a bit more of the classic bob in 2023 than you did in the last three years.
Zendaya debuted her look at a Euphoria event in Los Angeles a couple of weeks ago, and since then the whole internet has been going crazy. Don’t be surprised if you see a suspicious increase in people deciding to dramatically chop off their hair.
At the event, Zendaya turned heads with her 1950s-inspired look. She styled her short bob with a dramatic side parting, lots of volume, and slightly inwardly curled ends. While this look was a bit reminiscent of the good old times, the overall vibe can still be considered modern and on-trend.
Zendaya completed the look with a black polo top with pearl buttons and a figure-enhancing pencil skirt. To top it all off, she wore a pair of pointed black heels. She looked like an absolute boss babe who knows what she’s doing with her life. And we would expect no less from her.
What to ask for from your hairstylist
Getting a short blunt bob haircut shouldn’t be too difficult. Most hairdressers are very familiar with this hairstyle, and the worst that could possibly happen is that they cut your hair shorter than you initially wanted.
Make sure to give clear instructions whenever you are getting a new hairstyle. But especially if it’s a bob hairstyle. You have to be very clear about how long or short you want your hair to be. Hair does grow back, but it doesn’t take away from the disappointment that you will feel when you get out of the hair salon knowing you didn’t get the hairstyle that you actually wanted.
Also, if you’re deciding on the big chop because you think that a bob haircut is low-maintenance, then think again. Sure, blow-drying your hair will take less time, and you will also need a smaller amount of your leave-in hair products, however, getting your bob to a decent state will require skills, time, and patience.
