Shooting Location European House LA

European House LA is inspired by my European upbringing. Growing up in the former Czechoslovakia, visiting castles and chateaus was the thing to do. I’ve always admired the grand glam of the 17th-19th centuries. Detailed craftmanship combined with colorful fabrics have stuck with me forever. With that in mind, I tried to recreate a little bit of European history in the heart of Los Angeles. It is called European House LA.

Green Room

Some guests call this room the Gucci Room because of the floral pattern combined with the green and pink color scheme. This room is one of the two smallest ones in the house, but it’s incredibly charming and has a special energy.

Powder Room

This bedroom turned vanity room with a tub is the second smallest room on the property. It has an Old Hollywood vanity mirror, and that with the combination of peachy marble allows you to feel as if you’re a Hollywood starlet.

Queen’s Pink Bedroom

This room is inspired by French rococo, which was the most glamorous era ever. The pastel colors with crystals and roses will take you into a fairytale where magic happens. It has a very feminine vibe and has access directly to the pool. It is perfect for your photos!

Angelique’s Suite

This is the biggest room in the house, which was built to be a family room. The suite has its own built-in bar, half bathroom, fireplace, and a set of large French doors that open to the pool. The décor is inspired by my favorite 1964 historical French romantic drama, Angelieque. The color combination of Angelique’s golden hair and her blue dresses she wore throughout the series have become the basic color palette for this room.

Red Baroque Living Room

This red-walled room is inspired by the Italian baroque period which loved gold, flowers, and lots of details. A medium-sized fireplace adds a little extra coziness to the room, and the over-sized floral painting gives it a bit of a museum vibe. The dining part of the room has a tile ceiling and a built-in bookshelf.

French Country Kitchen

The kitchen has French-style cabinets and a beautiful pastel yellow hue which bleeds into the breakfast nook. Accompanied with floral drapes and a selection of floral china, you really feel like you’re somewhere in Saint Tropez. The side door will take you to the outdoor breakfast deck and fountain.

French Blue Toile Room

This room is basically a transformed garage with a large clear glass garage door that guarantees a good amount of natural light. This room is also a prep room for the hair, make-up and wardrobe departments. The large custom-built canopy hovering over the antique style king-size bed can be exchanged for a floral set of drapes.

Old Hollywood Pool

Our pool was inspired by the pool at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Although it is much smaller than the real BH Hotel pool, it doesn’t miss the vintage charm. The pool sits in a nice gathering of lush greenery, and its lounge chairs contain pink, tropical, and striped vibes.

Besides these gorgeous rooms you will also find a magical front yard featuring a few seating areas, as well as the vintage daybed with a canopy frame you can decorate. To see more photos and to book this location for your next shoot, please visit Peerspace.com.
