How To Recreate The Viral Hailey Bieber Beauty Smoothie
It’s no secret that Hailey Bieber is an absolute trendsetter. The supermodel has been going viral all year with her “glazed donut” skin trend, nail color, and lip combo! Whatever Bieber touches, it just becomes a trend instantly! It all started when the influencer came out with her skincare line, which sold out in only a couple of minutes. And looking at her flawless and glowing skin, it’s not too hard to understand why. However, as it turns out, Rhode skincare isn’t her only beauty secret!
Recently, Hailey partnered up with the LA-based grocer Erewhon to create a strawberry smoothie that is supposed to give you glowing and healthy skin. The smoothie is only available in their LA stores, and you would have to spend a whopping $17 to try one of these. In case you aren’t ready to travel to LA and spend $17 on a smoothie, we have some good news for you! It’s pretty easy to recreate.
What is the smoothie about?
The idea behind Hailey Bieber’s skincare smoothie is that beauty comes within. It’s full of different nutrients like hyaluronic acid, peptides, and different vitamins and minerals. While giving you all of the nutrients that your skin needs, the smoothie is also delicious and looks Instagram-picture-worthy. Recreating the smoothie at home won’t take too long either, you will save a lot of money, and you will be able to adjust it to your personal preferences.
How to recreate the smoothie at home?
While the smoothie is easy to make, finding all of the ingredients will be a lot more difficult. However, for some of them, we would honestly just suggest replacing them with something different. Some of the ingredients are pretty basic: strawberries, dates, avocado, maple syrup, almond milk, and coconut cream. All of them are super yummy, and you can get them at the nearest grocery store.
But some ingredients will be much harder to find. Like hyaluronic acid, sea moss gel, and collagen peptide. Because the collagen peptide they use isn’t vegan, our suggestion would be to either skip the collagen powder altogether or replace it with plant-based protein powder. When it comes to hyaluronic acid, it’s pretty questionable how much orally taken HA does to improve the appearance of our skin. We would suggest just sticking with your hyaluronic acid face serum. And lastly, we have the sea moss gel. This is a species of red algae that are found in ocean waters all across the globe. It’s been used in many cultures for hundreds of years, but the scientific evidence behind it is pretty slim. However, if you want to include it, you can find it on Amazon.
Once you get all of the ingredients you want, mix them all and put them in your blender. You can adjust the proportions of your ingredients to your liking. I added one cup of almond milk, one cup of frozen strawberries, half of an avocado, 4 unpitted dates, one tablespoon of maple syrup, and one tablespoon of coconut cream. I like my smoothies to be a bit sweeter, which is why I added so many dates. However, in the original smoothie, they just added two.
I have to say that I loved the smoothie! It was delicious, nutritious, and quick to make. I have no idea what the original one tastes like, but I don’t believe that the difference can be too big. When it comes to the skincare benefits, I don’t know what to say about that. Sure, I didn’t add all of the fancy ingredients that can be found in Hailey’s $17 smoothie. However, I still featured a lot of superfoods. I generally try to eat healthily, and I do believe that a balanced diet does affect the way our skin looks. But drinking one of these smoothies won’t make you look like Hailey Bieber immediately. Keep your expectations realistic, and in the worst-case scenario, you will still end up with a delicious breakfast smoothie.
